LIFE ZELDA’s pilot plant has been successfully commissioned at Almeria sweater desalination plant

The LIFE ZELDA pilot plant has been installed and has been successfully commissioned at the SWDP of Almería (Spain). The pilot plant is configured by several stages: EDM, purification plant, concentration plant and the advanced solar evaporation ponds. The pilot plant will operate in semi-batch mode and it is expected that 15m3 of brine each week will be treated. Start-up of the different plants have been done and first experiments are ongoing.
